Your body may be changing. Your life doesn't have to get smaller.
Maybe you're still hiking every week, playing 18 holes, working in the garden, traveling, swimming, or meeting friends for pickleball.
But something feels different.
The climbs take more out of you.
Your knee has started deciding how far you'll go.
You don't feel quite as steady or confident as you used to.
You're thinking twice about activities you once did without thinking at all.
Or maybe something has already come off the calendar.
A trail you stopped hiking. A game you stopped playing. Stairs you've started avoiding. A trip you're no longer sure your body is ready for.
That's what we care about.
Not simply getting a workout in — building the strength and capability to keep living the life you've built here.
Built For Life In Red Rock Country
This is an active place, and getting older doesn't mean you're ready to sit on the sidelines. That's why we don't start with a generic exercise program. We start by asking: what do you want to keep doing?
Hike with your partner and feel strong for the climb and the way back down.
Another decade on the golf course.
The strength and confidence to travel, work around your property, play with your grandkids, or keep enjoying the home you love.
Your goals become the target. Your private coaching is built around the strength, fitness, movement and physical capability you need to keep pursuing them.
A Different Kind Of Training
Your home and everyday environment give us a better understanding of the life you're training for — your stairs, your driveway, your garden, the places you walk, and the activities you want to keep doing. We come to you, so your training can be built around your goals, your environment and the way you actually live.
You're not following someone else's routine. Your training is built around your goals, abilities and priorities.
One-on-one attention, in your environment, on a schedule built around you.
We focus on the strength and capabilities that matter outside a session — because progress only matters if it shows up in your life.
How It Works
The first step is a complimentary 15-minute conversation. Stephen will ask about what you want to keep doing — or get back to doing — what you've noticed changing, and what you'd like your body to be capable of in the years ahead.
You'll also have a chance to ask questions and see whether our approach feels right for you. No pressure. No commitment.
Book Your Complimentary Active Life Call →If we're a good fit, the next step is a private, paid Active Life Planning Session. Stephen comes to you to learn more about your goals, your current fitness and activity level, what you want to keep doing — or get back to doing — and what you want from private training.
Together, you'll establish clear goals and map out what a personalized strength, fitness and active-lifestyle coaching plan could look like. You'll know what we recommend and why before deciding whether you'd like to continue.
If ongoing training makes sense, we'll build a plan around your goals, fitness level and lifestyle. Sessions are private, personal and designed to help you build the strength, fitness, movement and confidence you need for the activities you care about.
The goal isn't to keep you dependent on a trainer forever. It's to build capabilities and habits you can carry forward into your life.
The Approach
Get clear on where you are today, what matters most to you and what you want your training to help you keep doing.
Train one-on-one toward your specific goals with a personalized approach that progresses as you do.
Turn the strength, fitness and confidence you've built into something you can carry forward — outside your sessions and into everyday life.
Every training relationship is personalized after your Active Life Planning Session. We'll walk you through what we recommend, why we recommend it and what working together would look like — before you make a decision.
Some people come to us because they've already stopped doing something they love. Others come because they're still active — and intend to stay that way. You don't need to wait for your world to get smaller before investing in your strength, fitness, movement and confidence.
The best time to protect the life you love is while you're still living it.
Meet Dr. Stephen
Stephen's approach to training starts with a simple question: what do you want your body to keep allowing you to do?
Hike. Golf. Travel. Garden. Keep up with your family. Feel strong and capable in your own home.
Stephen holds a Bachelor's degree in Sports Science and later pursued advanced education in occupational therapy, earning his Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. That combination shaped his belief that physical training should be about more than exercises, numbers or workouts — it should support the life a person actually wants to keep living.
Stephen works privately with clients in their own environment, building training and coaching around their goals, lifestyle and the activities that matter to them.
Stephen's Arizona occupational therapy license is currently pending. Until it is issued, all services offered through this practice are private fitness and lifestyle coaching — not occupational therapy, medical treatment, diagnosis or rehabilitation.
